Placement Procedure

In the journey of domestic life, we understand that balancing the needs of both career and family can be a juggling act.

Elmego Hiring Procedure
We believe that hiring a care professional should feel personal, respectful, and reassuring. Our process is designed to guide families with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Hiring Application
Once you’ve completed your application, our team carefully reviews your request, your household’s unique needs, and the qualities you’re seeking in a care professional. With compassion and precision, our experienced matchmakers begin identifying Candidates who align with your values, preferences, and expectations.
We don’t just match resumes—we match people. Every introduction is made with care, respect, and a deep commitment to helping your family feel supported, safe, and understood.

Interviews
Once we’ve identified Candidates who align with your care needs and household values, we’ll coordinate interviews in the format that suits you best—Zoom, Facetime, phone, or in-person.
You’ll receive:
• A brief Candidate profile highlighting experience, personality, and care philosophy
• Suggested interview questions tailored to your priorities
• Support in scheduling and confirming each meeting
Our goal is to make this step feel smooth, respectful, and empowering—so you can connect with Candidates in a way that feels natural and informative.

Security Comes First
Once you’ve selected a Candidate, Elmego initiates our comprehensive screening process, which may include:
• Nationwide Criminal Records Investigation
• Nationwide Sex & Violent Offenders Search
• Driving Record Report (if applicable)
• Social Media Review
• Personality & Care Style Assessment
You may also choose to begin with a Trial Period to ensure the match feels right for everyone involved. Our goal is to help you feel confident and at ease—knowing your loved ones are in compassionate, capable hands.

• Ongoing communication during the guarantee period

Fee Structure:
• Full-Time Placement (30+ hours/week): 20% of the Candidate’s gross annual income

• All fees are due upon signing the Start Date Placement Agreement and prior to the Candidate’s first day of work

Replacement Guarantee
We understand that finding the right fit takes trust, and sometimes adjustments are needed. That’s why Elmego offers a Replacement Guarantee to support families during the early stages of a new placement.
If a Candidate hired through Elmego for a full-time position (30 hours or more per week) needs to be replaced within the first 60 calendar days of employment—regardless of the reason—we will introduce additional qualified Candidates at no extra cost. This guarantee applies only to full-time placements and remains valid for one year from the original Candidate’s start date.

To activate the Replacement Guarantee:
• A signed Start Date Placement Agreement must be received
• The Placement Fee must be paid in full
• A written request for replacement must be submitted within the 60-day guarantee window

If the original Candidate remains employed during the search, the Client agrees to respond to proposed Candidate introductions within seven (7) calendar days of receipt. Failure to respond within this time frame will void the Replacement Guarantee.

Elmego may, at its discretion:
• Continue the search for a replacement
• Refund the Placement Fee for the Candidate in question
• Conclude its obligation to provide further introductions by notifying the Client in writing

Please note: The Replacement Guarantee becomes void if the Client:
1. Fails to pay fees or charges in a timely manner
2. Significantly alters the Candidate’s job duties or description
3. Engages in harassment, abuse, or conduct involving moral turpitude
4. Violates any laws, regulations, or employment standards related to the Candidate’s role

Our goal is to ensure every placement feels safe, respectful, and sustainable—for both families and care professionals. If a replacement is needed, we’ll walk with you through the process with care and clarity.
